A child and an adult driver were critically injured Sunday when a police van rolling with lights and sirens crashed with two vehicles, according to police.

A 13-year-old and an adult driver were rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital after the 3:30 p.m. collision, said Officer Kim Maggart of the Atlanta Police Department.

The wreck occurred at West Lake Avenue and Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway, she said. A southbound silver Kia on West Lake pulled into the intersection and was struck by the police wagon. A third vehicle was caught up in the collision.

The child, the adult driving the Kia and the officer were taken to Grady.

No charges were filed.
