A Chicago man was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for traveling to Alpharetta to have sex with an 11-year-old girl, telling her mother he wanted to be the child's “naughty grandpa and her naughty daddy.”
What Michael Isacson, 67, didn’t know, however, was that the woman posing as the fictitious child’s mother was an undercover FBI agent, federal prosecutors said.
Isacson gave the mother instructions on how to order the child to “obey” and not ask questions, prosecutors said.
“This man not only engaged in sexually explicit communications with the purported mother of an 11-year old girl to convince the mother to give him access to her daughter, but he actually traveled from Chicago to Atlanta to have sex with the little girl,” U.S. Attorney Sally Quillian Yates said in a statement Thursday.
Prosecutors said Isacson used two different online screen names when he began communicating with the undercover agent posing as the child’s 29-year-old mother in December 2011.
Between December and January, Isacson engaged in sexually explicit communications with the agent, exposed himself using a web camera, and gave the mother rules for getting the child to obey, prosecutors said.
He also told the agent he wanted to be the child’s "naughty grandpa and her naughty daddy” before traveling to Alpharetta to meet with the mother and 11-year-old so he could have sex with the child, prosecutors said.
“Men like this defendant, who are willing to travel hundreds of miles for the opportunity to have sex with a child, present a serious danger to communities throughout our country,” Yates said.
Isacson pleaded guilty in March. In addition to the 15-year sentence, for which there is no federal parole, Isacson will be required to register as a sex offender and faces 10 years of supervised release.
