Cherokee County sets Hickory Flat community meetings
Cherokee County Planning and Zoning announced a series of community participation meetings in the New Year for the Hickory Flat Area Plan.
The public meetings are scheduled for 6 p.m. Jan. 5, Feb. 12 and March 11 at the Hickory Flat Library, 2740 E. Cherokee Drive, Canton.
"The purpose of the Hickory Flat Area Plan is to develop a more thorough understanding of current area trends, issues and opportunities by engaging with residents, property owners, business owners and other community leaders towards a shared vision for the community," according to a county announcement.
Hickory Flat is in unincorporated Cherokee County where Hickory Flat Highway (Ga. 140) crosses Hickory Road and East Cherokee Drive, east of Holly Springs. Information: Chris Luly, 678-493-6110 or celuly@cherokeega.com
