Cherokee County has awarded professional service agreements to six independent trucking companies that will provide supplemental trucking services costing up to $375,000 per year to transport materials for the Public Works Division.

The Board of Commissioners approved contracts of $80 per hour per truck, with yearly “not to exceed” amounts, to Lee Farms Trucking, $200,000; RH Hauling, $25,000; Randy B Trucking, $25,000; Dry Creek Land Development, $50,000; and West Cobb Contractors, $50,000; and a contract of $75 per hour per truck, up to $25,000, to Long’s Hauling.

All contracts are for three years except for West Cobb's, which is one year, staff said. Services will be requested on an as-needed basis. Funds used will be split between the county General Fund and SPLOST fund. Information: https://bit.ly/2Q2ALOS
