A DeKalb County Checkers failed its recent health inspection with various issues.

The restaurant, located at 2388 Wesley Chapel Road, outside Decatur, received a 55 on Monday, according to the inspector's report.

The problems in the report include flies “throughout” the kitchen, including on food; tomatoes still “in service” after they should’ve been thrown out; and food debris and dirty water on the floor.

A Checkers representative didn’t respond to a request for comment.

Restaurants that fail are typically rechecked within 10 days.
