Chattahoochee High School will have a larger than normal police presence Friday after school officials were alerted to death threats scrawled in two student restrooms earlier this week. The graffiti referenced a threat to student safety to occur Feb. 11.

In a letter to patrons, school principal Tim Duncan said school officials are investigating the threats and are pursuing a number of leads. As a precaution, he said, the school has asked the Fulton County Schools Police Department and the Johns Creek Police Department to provide extra security.

Duncan said Chattahoochee High has a detailed safety plan it practices every month, and if there is ever an actual threat to school safety, it will be implemented.
