Chabad of Gwinnett will light the sky above historic downtown Norcross with a giant, 10-foot Grand Menorah.

Rabbi Yossi Lerman, director of Chabad of Gwinnett, will light the Hanukkah (also spelled Chanukah) candles at 8 p.m. Wednesday.

The lighting ceremony will be followed by a celebration filled with dancing, singing and food. The Jewish observance of Hanukkah begins Wednesday.

After the Grand Menorah lighting, a  party will be held at the Iron Horse Tavern, 29 Jones St. in Norcross.
