Results of an autopsy released on Thursday show that the cause of death for a man found dead in a kiddie swimming pool over the weekend in Cherokee County is accidental drowning.

Dominic Saverino Pedante, 54, of Woodstock, was found dead Sunday morning in the Eagle Watch subdivision, a short distance away from his parked vehicle. The pool contained only about 6 inches of water. Authorities are still awaiting the results of toxicology testing. They believe he may have suffered a medical emergency or tripped getting out of his vehicle.
