A Carroll County Sheriff's deputy who was responding to a burglary-in-progress call was injured Tuesday when his vehicle collided with a pickup truck, an official told Channel 2 Action News.
Carroll Chief Deputy Brad Robinson said the truck apparently pulled out in front of the deputy's vehicle, which was running with lights and siren, around 5:30 p.m. at U.S. 27 at Lee Williams Road.
The deputy and truck driver were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Robinson told Channel 2.
