A Canton woman who walked away from an Albany drug and alcohol treatment center has been found dead in Albany, authorities said Thursday.

The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office had been helping Albany police to search for Sharon Dawn Haim, 43, who left the Grace Way Recovery Center in Albany on Sept. 4.

Albany police found the woman's body around 10 a.m. Thursday at 430 West Tift Avenue. Police said foul play is not suspected and the cause of death is unknown at this time. Haim’s body will be sent to the Georgia Crime Lab.
