Campbell Middle teacher wins $1k to purchase classroom supplies

Phillip Howard, a first-year teacher at Campbell Middle School in Cobb County, is the winner of a $1,000 New Teacher Assistance grant from Georgia Power. The grant is to encourage new teachers by giving them money to buy additional classroom supplies on top of what is provided by the school. Colleges and universities nominate their top teaching graduates for the award. Howard attended Georgia State University.
