Buckhead estate sells for $7.2M: the 2nd highest sale of the year

A historic mansion in Buckhead has sold for $7.2 million, making it the second-highest sale of the year, according to Hirsh Real Estate.

The sale of Tyler Perry's estate for $17.5 million was the highest.

Villa Juanita hit the market at $7.7 million in May. 

The estate includes a 10,000-square-foot single-family home with Mediterranean style that offers five full bathrooms, two half baths, 14 principal rooms, a tennis court and a 462-square -foot garage, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has reported.

It has been lauded as one of Atlanta's most iconic homes and has been nicknamed "the Great Gatsby house."
