An 81-year-old man who had been missing since Monday afternoon was found dead Tuesday by Douglas County deputies, according to Channel 2 Action News.

Winfred Bryson Floyd was last seen Monday at his home on Windy Valley Drive in Douglasville, authorities said.

The search was extended to two miles from Floyd’s home before he was found, Channel 2 reported. No other information was released.

In other news: 

Police said a witness told them Shaylia Thomas, who works in the salon on Bennett Street off Peachtree Road, was outside the salon when Eric Harris attacked her and threw her into the back of a car.
