A woman’s body was found Thursday behind a dumpster in East Point, police said.

The woman, whose identity has not been released, was apparently stabbed to death, East Point police spokeswoman Det. Ebony Johnson said. She appeared to be in her 40s and did not have identification on her, Johnson said.

Investigators were called to the scene at the Garden Court Apartments on Janice Drive about 7:20 a.m.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Johnson at 404-270-7069 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
