Three people are dead and many more have been hurt in a 10-vehicle wreck on I-16 in Macon, officials said.

A tractor-trailer ran over a car and a pickup truck, causing a chain reaction that involved a church van, the Macon Telegraph reported.

Fire engulfed some of the cars along I-16 near Ocmulgee East Boulevard, the newspaper reported.
