Bragbook for Jan. 3
The highest achievement for a member of the Boy Scouts of America - the rank of Eagle Scout - was awarded in a Court of Honor ceremony on Nov. 9 to Ray Holt, of Troop 222 in Covington. For his Eagle Scout leadership service project, Ray, 17, constructed an information kiosk for Newton Trails, situated at the Eastside High School end of the Eastside trail.
Atlanta Technical College recently hosted MANCODE, Microsoft’s technology program designed to introduce coding and opportunities in the tech industry to African American students at an early age. All the instructors for this event were African American males, brought in to emphasize the focus of the event.
