Avalon in Alpharetta will soon be getting a bookstore in the expansive multi-use property.

Described as a modern bookstore inspired by the lava lamp, Posman Books will open its doors across from Café Intermezzo at the 86-acre mixed-use development, according to a news release from the developer.

The store will celebrate its move-in Nov. 15 with a holiday inspired pop-up shop, but is expected to immediately close its doors for a three-month build-out, reopening next spring.

The new store is part of the company’s plan to open a new store every year.

The Alpharetta location will be the company’s second metro Atlanta location. There is already a store at Ponce City Market and two other locations in New York.

“We’re thrilled to bring the Alpharetta community a unique bookstore experience that celebrates the power of reading,” Avalon’s marketing and hospitality manager Cayley Mullen said in the release.
