The Santa Run: 4 top things to do in North Fulton this weekend

Christmas performances will help get you in the holiday spirit this weekend in North Fulton. And if watching the festivities isn't enough to lift your mood, try donning a Santa suit and running a 5K in Johns Creek.

If you're looking for something to do this weekend in North Fulton, the following four events should help jumpstart your holidays.

The Santa Run 5K. 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8. $35. Newtown Park, 3150 Old Alabama Road, Johns Creek.

Run, walk, hop or skip – you're free to join the Santa Run and enjoy it in a variety of ways. And with your registration, you'll receive a Santa suit, long-sleeved T-shirt and more. The event helps raise money for sick, disadvantaged and special needs children. It's USATF-certified and can be used for seeding in the AJC Peachtree Road Race.

Enjoy a Christmas tradition as The Kudzu Playhouse performs “A Christmas Carol.” It's held in the intimate setting of the Osage Terrace room at Bulloch Hall.

Sur La Table chefs will guide workshop participants in creating three holiday treats from the Dorie's Cookies cookbook. You'll .get to sample your treats and also keep a copy of the cookbook.
