The body of an Early County man missing since January has been identified, authorities said on Friday.

The Fulton County medical examiner identified the body found Thursday at 994 Turner Aaron Drive in Atlanta as Thomas Entrekin, 54, from Blakely, Ga.

Conyers police and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation suspected the body might have belonged to Entrekin, GBI spokeswoman Nelly Miles said.

Entrekin was reported missing on Jan. 29, Early County sheriffs said. Early County is about 200 miles south of Atlanta.

Entrekin's tan pick-up truck was used  Feb. 8 in the commissions of two home invasions inConyers.

A month earlier, on Jan. 9, two unidentified women were seen on surveillance video  trying to use his credit card at an Atlanta Kroger on Moreland Avenue.

The Conyers Police Department and the GBI are still investigating to see if these incidents have any connection to Entrekin’s disappearance, Miles said in a statement.
