The State Board of Pardons and Paroles has scheduled a clemency hearing Friday for Warren Hill, who is scheduled to be executed by lethal injection on July 18.

Hill is to be put to death for killing a fellow inmate at a prison in southwest Georgia in August 1990. At the time, Hill was serving a life sentence for the murder of his girlfriend. Hill's case has attracted national attention because a state judge previously determined Hill was mentally disabled.
