Bethune Elementary receives new playground equipment

Students at Bethune Elementary in Atlanta can now shape how they play, thanks to new revolutionary playground equipment.

Students at Bethune Elementary School in Atlanta rush to play on new and revolutionary playground equipment. The movable foam parts were designed by New York architect David Rockwell to convey "the concept of child-directed free play."

Jaquan Tolbert, 7, builds a free weight bar made of foam blocks. The new playground -- an Imagination Playground in a Box -- allows kids to create their own playground with loose and stationary foam parts.

Bethune Elementary School students try their hand at creating the playground space. The school has had no playground equipment for many years.
