This guy went through a whole heap of trouble for two cases of beer.

Fayette County police are looking for a man who shot the front display window out of a BP gas station on Corinth Road at Hwy. 54 in east Fayette County early Tuesday, and stole two cases of beer.

Fayette County sheriff’s deputies responded to a commercial burglary alarm around 12:14 a.m. Tuesday at the BP gas station. When deputies arrived they discovered a front glass window of the business had been shattered.

Video surveillance tapes showed that a 'slightly overweight' white male holding a shotgun had approached the front of the gas station. He fired a shot from the shotgun, shattering the front window of the gas station. The suspect can be seen on video reaching into the front shattered window and removing two cases of beer. He then left with the stolen cases of beer on foot toward Corinth Road, according to police. The man was wearing dark clothing and had a dark piece of material over his head, attempting to conceal his identity.

Police said video surveillance captured a white male who was similar in appearance to that of the suspect inside the BP gas station just hours before this crime occurred.
