The death of a 5-month-old boy Sunday night at a Buckhead hotel has been ruled a homicide by investigators.
According to the Fulton County Medical Examiner's office, an autopsy determined that Chase Mayers died of blunt force injury to his torso.
Police called to the Embassy Suites hotel on Peachtree Road late Sunday night found the boy unresponsive in a room at the hotel. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Atlanta police were releasing no information on the case Tuesday morning. Spokeswoman Kim Jones told the AJC that the child's death "is still being actively investigated. Homicide is not making any comments at this time."
