Atlanta weather | Sunny and dry day ahead

Aug 9, 2011

There wasn't much rain Tuesday, and there should be even less Wednesday in the metro Atlanta area.

The air ahead of the cold front to our north was too stable to produce any strong thunderstorms Tuesday, Channel 2 Action News chief meteorologist Glenn Burns said.

Expect sunshine, low humidity and temperatures in the mid 90s Wednesday, he said.

Lows will be in the mid 70s and highs in high 80s to low 90s on Thursday and Friday, with a 20 percent chance of rain each day, Burns said.
