Atlanta weather | Scattered rain expected through Monday morning

March 31, 2013

A cloudy Easter morning will give way to midday showers that will likely linger through Monday morning’s commute.

Occasional downpours will accompany a cold front this afternoon, and they’ll continue through the overnight hours, according to Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brad Nitz. Sunday’s average metro Atlanta temperature will climb to 69 degrees.

Expect wet roads Monday morning, with showers continuing on the south side. Wind guts could reach 25 mph, but by the afternoon, skies will clear and average temperatures will reach 73.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be cooler and mostly sunny. High temperatures will drop into the 50s on Thursday.
