Friday should provide a break from the rain that fell in the metro Atlanta area Thursday, but there won't be a lot of sunshine over the next few days.

Expect a partly cloudy day with a high of 64 degrees, well above the average of 57 for this time of year, Channel 2 Action News chief meteorologist Glenn Burns said.

Saturday, there's a 90 percent chance of rain, with a high of 59 and lows in the upper 40s.

Showers should move in around 3 p.m. and stick around until about 11 p.m., Burns said. The metro Atlanta area could see about .72 inches of rain, with heavier rainfall in South Georgia.

Sunday is expected to be clear and windy with highs in the mid 50s.
