After a trace of rain Monday, metro Atlanta will see a lot more rain Tuesday.

There is a 70 percent chance of rain Tuesday, with scattered showers and thunderstorms likely, Channel 2 Action News chief meteorologist Glenn Burns said. Highs will be in the mid 70s and lows in the low 60s.

Wednesday will start off with morning clouds and showers, he said, then clear up. There is a 60 percent chance of rain. Highs will be in the low 70s and lows in the high 50s.

There is no precipitation in the forecast for Thursday or Friday, with highs in the mid to upper 70s both days and lows in the mid 50s.

The chance of rain returns Saturday at 40 percent.
