The boil water advisory issued over the weekend for parts of East Atlanta has been lifted.
The city of Atlanta had issued the advisory after a Georgia Power outage resulted in a temporary loss of pressure in the drinking water system, authorities said.
The advisory was lifted around 8 a.m. Monday after tests showed no contamination of the system.
The system was restored to normal operations within 30 minutes, according to the department. However, in an abundance of caution, a boil-water advisory was issued for these areas:
- Flat Shoals to Haas Ave to the east, Glenwood Ave to the south, Moreland to the west, and McPherson to the north.
- Holtzclaw Road from Stovall to the east, Kirkwood to the north, Chester to the west, and Memorial to the south.
- Hosea Williams End Ave, that area could be bounded by 4th Ave to the east, Cottage Grove to the south, Lakeview to the west, and Gordon Road to the north.
