The city of Atlanta held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to open the new Thomasville Resource Center. Amy Phuong, commissioner of the Department of Parks and Recreation along with City Councilmember Carla Smith of District 1 helped celebrate the grand opening on March 1.

The Thomasville Resource Center, 1700 Thomasville Dr. S.E., will offer a variety of amenities including computer and internet access and meeting space for the community. The Department of Parks and Recreation will continue to work with the community to implement additional programs and activities.
