Weather

Snow will begin moving into metro Atlanta and surrounding areas by mid- to late afternoon Thursday. The latest forecast calls for up to 1 inch of accumulation in the metro area and 2 inches in the mountains.

The high Thursday should be near 40, but overnight lows near 20 degrees are predicted and forecasters warned that moisture on the roads is likely to freeze overnight, creating a treacherous commute Friday morning.
