Atlanta official alert after fainting in meeting
Atlanta interim Human Resources Commissioner Sherri Dickerson was alert after fainting during a City Council committee meeting at City Hall Monday morning.
Dickerson was speaking at the podium at the Committee on Council meeting when she fell at about 11:30 a.m. Council members rushed to her aid and called 911. Paramedics arrived and put her on a stretcher. Dickerson was smiling as she was taken from City Hall.
Dickerson was at the meeting to discuss her nomination by Mayor Kasim Reed to be the department's permanent commissioner.
