Atlanta man wins $1 million in lottery game

An Atlanta man who buys gas near Greenbriar Mall is $1 million richer.

Maurice Allen won the top prize in the Georgia Lottery game "$100 Million Cash Blast" after buying a ticket at the Exxon Food Mart at 3160 Greenbriar Parkway S.W.

Allen claimed his prize at Georgia Lottery headquarters April 18.

Selling a winning ticket will help the store build its customer base, said store owner Wajih Mirza. The gas station opened its doors across the street from the mall in November, he said.

“We’ll definitely have more customers I’m pretty sure,” he said.

Mirza said he knew something wonderful had happened before Allen left the store.
