Atlanta Food Bank gets major donation

Sept 23, 2011The fight against hunger got a major push recently with a huge food donation to the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
Tyson Foods donated more than 30,000 pounds of food.
The food will then distributed to the nonprofit's partner agencies in 38 counties in metro Atlanta and North Georgia.
The Atlanta Community Food Bank distributed nearly 34 million pounds of food and grocery products in fiscal 2010-2011, up from nearly 26 million pounds the previous fiscal year. The donation was made in honor of Feeding America’s Hunger Action Month.
