An Army sergeant based at Fort Benning has been arrested by state, federal and local authorities on child pornography charges.
Sgt. Leonard Talley was arrested Wednesday morning after a search warrant was executed at an apartment in Columbus by the GBI's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Columbus police and the Secret Service, said GBI spokesman John Bankhead.
Bankhead said Talley, 33, was charged with possession of child pornography after images of child porn were found on his computer.
Talley was taken to the Muscogee County Jail.
"The search warrant was obtained as a result of evidence developed by the GBI of peer-to-peer sharing of child pornography images from a computer at Talley's apartment on Schomburg Road in Columbus," Bankhead said. "Several computers in Talley's apartment were seized as evidence."
