An argument early Wednesday between a man and woman who police said didn't like one another ended with the woman shot dead in the middle of a northeast Atlanta street.

The shooting happened shortly after midnight in the 400 block of Angier Avenue near Boulevard.

The 37-year-old woman, identified by the Fulton medical examiner's office as Tanieshia Evans, died at Atlanta Medical Center after being shot once in the chest.

Channel 2 Action News reports the victim got into an argument with a man who was sitting in an SUV. The woman broke the man's window, and that's when she was shot, the station reported.

Police were looking for the suspect Wednesday morning.
