The Atlanta school board last week approved a contract with R.J. Griffin & Company for $70.9 million for the construction on the new North Atlanta High. According to board information, the design documents are now being completed by the architect. The school is slated to open in 2013 at the IBM complex on Northside Parkway. In February 2011, the board voted to purchase 56-acre site for $56.2 million. At one time, school officials estimated it would cost $35 million to $45 million to build.
