During its yearly recruiting process, the Marietta Fire Department is accepting applications for firefighters until Jan. 31.

The department “offers exceptional and diverse career opportunities for men and women seeking professional and personal success,” according to a city statement.

A competitive salary is accompanied by “excellent benefits and varying job assignments with advancement potential,” the statement added.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school degree or GED certificate, possess a valid driver’s license and must be able to pass a routine background check.

Those who meet these criteria will be eligible to take the Firefighters Entrance Exam.
