The COVID-19 pandemic has forced officials at DeKalb-Peachtree Airport to cancel its annual open house and air show.

The annual DeKalb-Peachtree Airport Good Day Neighbor Open House and Air Show, previously scheduled for June 6, has been cancelled, according to a press release.

“Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic health emergency throughout the country and the world, we find it necessary but unfortunate to cancel our June 6, 2020 Open House & Air Show,” airport officials said in a written statement. “We look forward to our planning efforts for next year’s show. Stay tuned to our PDKairshow.com website for next year’s date.”

PDK also announced it will be hosting the Georgia Aerospace Education Expo in September.

More information will be made available this summer as we move to bring Aviation & Aerospace careers to our students, they said. All Dekalb County and surrounding school boards will be invited to participate.
