Multiple cars parked at restaurants had their windows smashed and computer equipment stolen out of them Tuesday, said Alpharetta police.

The department posted on Facebook that seven windows were broken in the parking lots of restaurants on Mansell Road and North Main Street. All but one vehicle had computer equipment taken.

"Our officers diligently patrol these areas but the criminals usually work in pairs with a lookout. It only takes mere seconds to shatter the glass, grab your backpack, briefcase, etc. and take off," the department wrote in a Wednesday post to Facebook.

The post made no mention of any suspects or arrests.

The department said those on the go like working professionals and students need to be extra careful.

“Since we had a high number of them yesterday, we wanted to remind everyone to protect their property and to call in suspicious activity,” the Wednesday post read.
