Alpharetta swears in new council member
Alpharetta's City Council is now complete.
Municipal Judge Jim Matoney swore in Donald Mitchell this week as the city's representative for Post 1.
Mitchell, who defeated Ron Carter in the Nov. 8 election, replaces Douglas DeRito, who stepped down earlier this fall in an unsuccessful bid for mayor.
The city will swear in another new council member and new mayor in January.
