An Alpharetta man was killed Wednesday on Dawsonville Highway (Ga. 53) in Gainesville when his pickup truck collided with a tractor-trailer carrying diesel fuel, authorities say.

The victim's name has not been released. He was 62, said Forsyth County Sheriff's Office spokesman Capt. Frank Huggins.

The wreck occurred just after 3 p.m. on Dawsonville Highway at Porter Lane in Forsyth County. As of rush hour Wednesday, all lanes were blocked, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.

Details of the two-vehicle wreck weren't immediately available.

No charges have been filed. The wreck remains under investigation, Huggins said.
