A second suspect has been charged with gang activity and 10 counts of aggravated assault in connection with a February incident.

Yan Mario Hernandez-Castillo is being held without bond at the Gwinnett County Detention Center. He is also charged with shooting a gun near a street, possessing an altered ID, marijuana possession and reckless conduct.

The charges stem from a Feb. 18 incident when police say Hernandez-Castillo shot at multiple men playing basketball near a Lawrenceville trailer park.

Hernandez-Castillo, Eli Barojas Ramirez and an unidentified man allegedly shouted at the men to “get out his hood,” a police report said. Ramirez smashed the men’s car window with brass knuckles as they tried to flee.

The 201 is a subset of the La Familia gang, according to police. Ramirez told police there are about 20 members of 201 in Lawrenceville and Duluth.
