EDITOR’S NOTE:

In order to provide a robust event that will inform you on the issues at stake this election year, we have decided to postpone this event. However, we will be providing multiple ways to get you geared up for the Georgia primary. Be sure to follow the Gwinnett County News Now Facebook page and sign up for the Gwinnett newsletter for the latest on what’s at stake for Gwinnett.

Georgia’s primary contests are about two weeks away. Voters in communities all over metro Atlanta are steadily casting ballots by mail and in person, despite the pandemic that has upended life as we know it.

To help make sense of the latest Gwinnett County political news and what's at stake on June 9, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is holding a virtual town hall Friday, June 5, featuring the team of reporters who cover county government, politics and education.

County government reporter Arielle Kass; HyperLocal reporter Amada Coyne; and Education reporter Arlinda Broady will provide the lowdown on Gwinnett’s hottest primary races and the outlook for November.

Reporter Mark Niesse will answer questions about the voting process and election security.

The town hall, which begins at 5 p.m., will be streamed live through Facebook and YouTube.
