The Acworth Police Department is holding a "Jail and Bail" fundraiser for the Georgia Special Olympics on Friday. Residents will be able to apply for a "warrant", after making a $50 donation, to have one of their friends or relatives to be "arrested" sometime between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Friday. The so-called "arrest" is voluntary. Those "arrested" will be taken to the old city jail, have their mug shot taken as a souvenir, and the donation for release is also $50.
