Acworth Main Street to be reconstructed for $3 million

The Acworth Board of Aldermen voted to join with the Cobb Department of Transportation in a $3 million agreement to design and reconstruct Main Street from Nance Road to Nowlin Road. The 5-0 vote at the Jan. 21 meeting made possible projects such as stormwater maintenance improvement, curb and gutter repair, street paving, and enhancements to signaling and signage.

Funding will come from the 2016 special purpose local option sales tax.
