On Friday new ramps will open at Ga. 400 and Hammond Drive in Sandy Springs, according to the Perimeter Community Improvement Districts.  The ramps provide a northbound entrance to and a southbound exit from the highway.

They are intended to help drivers access the Perimeter business district and destinations like Perimeter Mall.

The PCID's, self-taxing business districts, helped fund the $5 million ramps.  The ramps are part of a larger project that is also building a Hammond Drive bridge over Ga. 400.
