The Georgia Department of Transportation recently announced the widening and reconstruction of Spout Springs Road in Flowery Branch is awarded to G.P.’s Enterprises. The contract represents a $31 million investment in infrastructure improvements for Hall County. Construction begins at Union Circle and continues to I-985, spanning 3.57 miles.

This project has a 760-day, or 2-year, completion timeline with construction beginning in the next 60 days.

Once construction activities are underway, single lane closures will occur 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 9 a.m. on Fridays, 8 p.m. Saturdays to 9 a.m. Sunday mornings, and 7 p.m. Sunday evenings until 6 a.m. Monday morning.

Work on the roadway near the high, middle, and elementary schools will be limited to 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday during the school year.
