A man wanted in connection with an eight-year-old killing in Norcross was arrested during a routine traffic stop in Florida, authorities said.
Trelane Estea Franklin was wanted on charges of murder and aggravated assault in the May 2003 shooting death of Marcus Chapman, 28, and the wounding of Corey Phoenix, 34. At the time, police said the incident was drug-related.
Franklin is in custody in Volusia County, Fla., awaiting extradition to Georgia, according to the Gwinnett County Police Department.
