Ga. 124 reopened near Snellville

Ga. 124 near Snellville has been reopened, more than three hours after downed utility lines closed all four lanes.

Around 8:30 a.m., Georgia Department of Transportation officials said the downed lines were blocking all north and southbound lanes of the highway near Johnson Drive. Tthe Gwinnett County Police Department tweeted that "a raised tree trimmer bucket knocked down the wires."

At about 12:10 p.m., the department announced the lanes had been reopened.
