It’s not too late to weigh in on the future of development in Gwinnett County.

There are still a few public meetings scheduled regarding the county's 2040 Unified Plan, which will shape policies, programs and projects related to growth and development in the years to come. An online survey is available as well.

The plan, which must eventually be approved by Georgia’s Department of Community Affairs and the Atlanta Regional Commission, is also necessary for Gwinnett to qualify for certain state and federal funds.

The latest round of public meetings about the plan began last month and continues until mid-May.

The remaining meetings are scheduled for the following dates and locations. All meetings will be held between 5 and 7 p.m.

  • May 10: Rhodes Jordan Park, 100 E. Crogan Street in Lawrenceville
  • May 14: George Pierce Park, 55 Buford HIghway in Suwanee
  • May 17: Lucky Shoals Park, 4651 Britt Road in Norcross

The online survey is available here. More information can also be found at Gwinnett2040UnifiedPlan.com.
